This statement explains what personal data Romerike Auto AS collects through this website, what it is used for, and what rights you have.
Data controller
Romerike Auto AS, company no. 989 865 218, Hvamveien 4, 2013 Skjetten, Norway, is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. For privacy questions, contact us at post@romerikeauto.no or +47 46 49 01 11.
What data we collect
When you submit an enquiry through the contact form, we record your name, phone number, email address, vehicle type, optional registration number and mileage, and the content of your message. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or book a workshop appointment.
Purpose and legal basis
The data is processed to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to enter into and perform a service agreement, under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (contract) and (f) (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries from prospective customers).
Cookies
The website uses cookies in three categories that you choose in the cookie banner. Functional: the Google Maps embed on the contact page, which only loads once you click to show it. Analytics: Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used. Marketing: Google Ads, which measures the effect of our ads and may be used to show you relevant ads. These tools are managed through Google Tag Manager and Google Consent Mode. Before you consent, no analytics or marketing cookies are set, but Google may receive limited cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed. You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie button in the bottom-left corner.
Retention
Contact-form enquiries are kept for as long as needed to follow up your case, normally deleted within 12 months unless the customer relationship continues. Cookie consent is stored for up to 180 days before you are asked again.
Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except for suppliers that operate our website and email service (data processors), and only to the extent necessary to deliver the service. If you consent to analytics or marketing, information about your use of the website is shared with Google Ireland Limited, and Google may process it outside the EEA.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete personal data we hold about you, as well as the right to restriction of processing and data portability where relevant. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no) if you believe we process your data unlawfully.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy as needed, for example when the tools used on the website change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
